In the past couple months I…
- turned 30
- finally caved in and became a minivan driver
- had my first miscarriage
- have done some website work, though not as much as i’d like
- had my step-daughter here from texas for a month
- did the county youth fair thing
- finally made it to our first homeschool outing in more than a year
- plugged away at homeschooling (year-round in between everything else… and this new format is REALLY not working for us. but the almost $400 we spent on it… that’s talking to me- very loudly!)
- more of the daycare thing
- doing interviews, following up on advertising, etc… trying to get more kids, but it’s not happening.
- completed a fast for the first time (woo-hoo! finally successful!)
- have seemed to break my pepsi addiction (usually just one a day now… *sometimes* two if eating out or something, and some days none)
- finally fitting back into some of my regular clothes (okay, more like squeezing into them, but that’s improvement! LOL) can’t wait to fit into more. *goodbye frumpy maternity clothes*
- found the dvd remote after like- almost all year??? so can maybe finally start those workout-on-the-ball dvd’s we bought while i was pg. (if i can just get my belly to not stick out over everything i’ll be satisfied)
- and this past friday got a couple calls from dh’s ex-dw, telling us if we didn’t take the dd then she’s getting put in a foster home (she’s in huge trouble at home and even more since going back from her visit here. whaddya know.)
- finally got an external hard drive for backups. YAY!!
- xander got (still has) thrush.
- have a couple IRL friendships budding
- also found someone again, hope to hear from her soon.
Umm, well that’s all that’s coming to mind right now lol.
I’m glad school has started and the weather seems to be cooling, though it never did seem to get that hot this year. Hopefully that doesn’t mean an old-time cold Michigan winter that we haven’t had in like a whole decade I don’t think. things just seem slower with “school” having started. I’m glad for that. I could use some slowness right about now.
